How do humans make sense of the world and communicate their ideas about it? And are machines doing so too?
This FirstBridge pairing, Teaching your language in Paris and Models, Mathematics and Machine Learning, explores these questions through language and mathematics. You will investigate how people represent and communicate ideas across cultures, and how different kinds of models, such as languages, numbers, and simple neural networks, help us understand and act in the world. Along the way, you will experiment with new ways of thinking, communicating, and problem-solving, and reflect on your own learning.
No advanced background required, just curiosity.
